Royal Wedding

After Brandon left on Wednesday the next thing I was excited for was the Royal Wedding. Believe it or not, we actually got a holiday for the Royal Wedding. So we had Friday off to celebrate the wedding, and celebrate we did. George, Amanda, Michael and I went over to Katrina’s house to watch the Royal Wedding on TV. 

The wedding was early in the morning, so we had to leave campus really early to watch everyone go into the church. It was really neat watching with a bunch of people who know the people going into the church by face. I recognized like 5 people, one being the Queen and the Beckhams…lol. It was a really exciting event to be in the UK for! 

So we watched the wedding on TV, and some of the viewers even participated in a Royal Wedding drinking game. Any time that they described the bride as lovely or any time the queen came on screen they had to drink. There were some other rules but those are the ones I recall. There were some fashion faux pas like the queen wearing YELLOW head to toe, or Princess Beatrice’s Hat. So that was fun, and we got to talk all about the dress Princess Katherine wore. It was a good time really.

After watching the ceremony, we ate lunch complete with a William and Kate cake. 

There is a break in the broadcast where Kate and William go eat lunch with the Queen, so we all went outside to enjoy the sunshine. Then about an hour later they had the balcony scene where there were TWO kisses!!! Lol. That was pretty epic! Lol.

I feel really lucky that I was over in the UK for such a cool event. There won’t be a royal wedding for a while, so it was a neat time in history to be a part of.
