Last Night Together

I made some really great friends while abroad and as our time was coming to a close it was tough to say goodbye. My friend Allie and her Scottish bf Michael decided to leave the weekend before school was over to go to the Highlands and then they were going to be in Edinburgh, where Michael’s family lives for the rest of the week.
So it was our last day to hang out with Allie and Michael. We decided to have one last night out on the town. And as you guessed it, we were doing a pub crawl! Lol. Those have become the group favorite, because everyone likes different pubs/bars so we get to go to all of them!

I wasn't just the 6 of us going on this pub crawl, we had a couple of other friends that were going with us as well.  We all met up at my friend Nora’s flat to pregame for our pub crawl because some of the pubs can be really expensive. We played games like King's Cup and Ride the Bus.

Scotland is so far North that the sun doesn't set til 10-11 in the summer time. So we ended up being at Nora's until 10-11 when we meant to leave at 8. You just don't realize how fast the time is going when the sun is still up.
After being at Nora’s flat for a while we went out into Stirling. We started at Morrison’s but everyone in town was out celebrating the end of school, and there was Soccer Final’s on there as well, so we didn’t stay long. Morrison's is the most expensive anyways.
After Morrison’s we hopped across the street to a group favorite, Katie’s! The first time we went there was for George’s Birthday. We didn’t know it was a gay bar, but we found out later. While we were there for my birthday pub crawl, a man took off his pants…lol. I don't remember how it happened, but I looked over and there was a man with no pants on standing at the bar. I think they wouldn't serve him anymore, so of course the logical thing would be to embarrass yourself more and take off your pants.
We got to Katie’s and it was packed, but we squeezed downstairs where the pool table is and we found a table.
At Katie’s they do a special where if you get your hand marked outside you get a free bomb with any drink you buy.

As per usual Katie’s is a good time. There are LOTS of interesting people to watch….and it’s always funny to see people get hit on. Lol. While at Katie's that time, we ran into Billy.

Billy is the same man from George's Birthday who said he was 105 years old, then jumped on a table and sang happy birthday to George. So we ran into Billy at Katie's, and he even remembered George. haha

After Katie’s we moved on to Corn Exchange. Corn Exchange is more of a young club dance bar place. They usually are playing good music WAY too loud, and they have about 2 bartenders for the whole bar. It's fun until your eardrums start to bleed. lol.

After corn exchange it was decided to go grab chips. There are a couple chippies between the pubs and the bus station/taxi stop so we all stopped at “Il Viccolo” the group favorite for chips, cheese and garlic! IT IS AMAZING! Literally the best chippy ever!! Lol. I know you’re thinking, just because we were doing a pub crawl that the chippy is that good. But I’ve been there in the daytime and it’s still mind blowingly amazing!!! Lol.

We were all outside the chippy eating our chips, when one of George's friends who was insanely belligerent saw George. He was really excited to see George and then was pretty much a mess. He kept trying to pick up George and then would put him back down. He picked up another one of his friends and lost his balance and slammed his friend into the ground. It wasn't on purpose, but it was ridiculous. No one got hurt, but good lord.

The bars in Stirling close at 1 and so we went back to campus. With the night still young we opted to hang out at Kaylin's flat for a while, talking about the semester and whatnot.

The next morning, we got up early to say goodbye to Allie and Michael. It was sad to see them go, but we had good times.

Until Next time......
